Last night’s floods exposed serious weaknesses in Nairobi’s infrastructure. The systems we currently have can no longer support the city’s rapidly growing population.
We must rethink Nairobi’s development—starting with modern sewage systems, improved drainage, and better roads.
As leaders, we must carry the responsibility and acknowledge where we have fallen short. This is not the time for blame. Blame will not solve the problem.
Instead, we must return to the drawing board, develop a comprehensive Nairobi master plan, and ensure that it is fully implemented for the benefit of our city and future generations.
