Deeply saddened by the untimely death of comrade and artiste Ssewankambo Hannington, commonly known as Sweet Pepsi. Last year, Sweet Pepsi was grossly brutalised by the military. For joining other Ugandans to express solidarity with me and our cause, this harmless and peaceful citizen was bartered by those who were supposed to protect him. The cold, brutal men left him bleeding profusely and went for other targets. It is very painful that he has died without seeing any of those who violated him being brought to justice.

Rest in peace comrade. May your memory guide those who remain to work even harder and restore sanity to our nation.
