Social media star Ehtesham Ahmad has left beach goers stunned after he rode his horse up and down Bondi Beach waving a Palestinian flag late Monday evening.

In videos shared online Ahamd was seen riding the horse at the popular beach before police asked him to dismount to protect the safety of visitors.

Appearing on ABC Radio Sydney, Mr Ahmad dismissed any suggestion it was a dangerous stunt, that his horse was well trained and he went at a quiet time of the day.

When asked if it was wise to carry out the stunt after the Bondi beach scuffle between a pro-Israel and pro-Palestine group on Sunday morning, the Western Sydney man said he wanted to “raise awareness”.

“The message was to free Palestine and to tell people and show people to go study about the genocide happening in Palestine,” Mr Ahmad said.
