I got on the phone with a constituent I’ll call John Doe.
He opened a letter from the Commonwealth of Virginia that said, “Congratulations, we’ve restored your rights to vote.”
His first thought: “When did I lose them?”
Then he looked closer. The letter wasn’t for him. It was addressed to a man he’s never heard of, who doesn’t live at his address and as far as he knows never has. Inside was a QR code that goes straight to voter registration.
First dead felons. Then “Betty, no last name.” Then Biscuit the dog. Now letters going to strangers’ homes.
John asked us to protect his identity because, like Biscuit’s owner, he’s worried about retribution for telling the truth. I understand. They’re coming after me too. But I’m grateful for every Virginian willing to speak up.
We need to find out exactly what’s going on in the Governor’s Mansion in Richmond.
Only a couple of days left. 🗳️ Tell your friends to VOTE. God bless you, and God bless America. 🇺🇸
