Starting July 1, 2025, Canada will roll out a nationwide update to its road safety laws under the New Canada Driving Law 2025.

This legislation is aimed at tackling evolving transportation issues through enhanced enforcement, updated safety standards, and steeper penalties for violations.

Some highlights include 24/7 year-round school zone enforcement, stricter penalties for distracted drivers as well as expanded definition of what is considered distracted driving.
