UPDATE ON THE MOVEMENT OF THE COLD BOX UNIT ABNORMAL LOAD

The Cold Box Unit Abnormal Load, which is in transit from Katima Mulilo Border to Solwezi's Kansanshi Mine has arrived at Kazungula Weighbridge in Southern Province.

The Cold Box Unit will remain parked at the Weighbridge to facilitate technical servicing of the machine.

The load will resume its movement on Monday, 4th November 2024.

The Cold Box Unit is vital to mining operations and weighs 154 metric tonnes, along with the two truck horses and self-steering axles, resulting in a Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) of 224 metric tonnes.
