En réponse à la suspension des financements américains (USAID/PEPFAR/PMI) en vue d’une riposte soutenable au Cameroun, L’Unité de Coordination des Subventions (UCS) a tenu la réunion préparatoire pour l’atelier de finalisation et validation du plan de mitigation.

Cette réunion qui s'est déroulé dans la salle de conférence du GTC-CNLS, a permis de présenter l’analyse des impacts de la suspension des financements américains pour les trois programmes (VIH, Tuberculose et Palu), l'état d'avancement du plan de mitigation et de finaliser l’organisation de l'atelier de finalisation et validation dudit plan qui se tiendra du 11 au 14 mars 2025 à Douala, aura pour objectif de :

 Obtenir un consensus des acteurs nationaux sur les interventions du plan
 Décliner les interventions du plan en activités ;
 Finaliser les hypothèses de coûts ;
 Programmer dans le temps des diverses activités budgétisées
 Proposer les indicateurs de suivi des résultats.

Cette réunion présidée par l’UCS a connu la participation de l’ICN, les PTF et les acteurs de la société civile.

In response to the suspension of American funding (USAID/PEPFAR/PMI), for a sustainable response in Cameroon, the Grant Coordination Unit (UCS) held a preparatory meeting for the workshop to finalize and validate the mitigation plan.

This meeting, which took place in the conference room of NACC-CTG, saw the presentation of analysis of impacts of the suspension of American funding for the three programs ( HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria).

The status of the mitigation plan was equally reviewed as stakeholders brainstormed on the final organization of the workshop for the finalization and validation of the said plan, which will hold from March 11 to 14, 2025, in Douala. The objectives of this workshop will be amongst others to:
- Achieve consensus among national stakeholders on the interventions of the plan
- Break down the interventions of the plan into activities
- Finalize the cost assumptions
- Schedule the various budgeted activities over time
- Propose indicators for monitoring results.

This meeting, chaired by UCS, saw the participation of the ICN, technical and financial partners (PTF), and civil society actors.
