KAWAMBWA SUGAR VICTIMS PUT TO REST.

All the Ten employees of Kawambwa Sugar that drowned in Luena River, have been put to rest today together with one who was struck by a lightening making Eleven bodies altogether.

The tragedy happened on Monday 24th March, 2025 when the victims with six others who survived after the boat they were in capsized on their way for work.

The funeral which was attended by Luapula Provincial Minister Hon. Musonda NASON, Pambashe Constituency member of Parliament Mr. Kapema JUSTIN, UPND Provincial Chairman Mr. Alfred Mwape and Kawambwa District Commissioner Mr. Godfrey CHILAMBWE among other stake holders.

In a statement monitored by Lukwanga FM News, the mourning ceremony took place at Poosa Primary School in Kabanse Ward of Sub Chief Kabanda Area.
